Vj Simone talks about her days on MTV Europe

Can you tell me how you started to work in television?

I started working in television when I had only 12 years old, I became part of a group in Holland. It was the youth department of a TV station… there I learned for the first time how to write scripts, how to use cameras, what is a set, how to do an transmission, everything that was involved with television... That was a very cool thing to do. I started to do a whole bunch of commercials and I kinda went on from that. I never really had a "normal" job.

Accidentally I was looking on youtube for Partyzone shows, and… I saw this video Let This Feeling. Can you tell me more about the video and the song?
When I was 18 I got a record deal in England… Because I got a big record deal, everyone wanted to have my publishing. The only thing is that I had never written a song in my life :-) And it was crazy, because all these big records label at that time were fighting over my publishing, and I did not even know if I could write a song.

So in the end I was given a whole bunch of money to go and write some hit records, and of course it's pretty difficult when you've never written a song in your life. After a little bit of trying, I ultimately ended up with Let this feeling, probably being the best one I wrote at the time. But till this day I still don't think it was a particularly strong song, but that's pretty much what you get when you ask to a 18 years old girl who's never written a song :-) to write songs but it was all right …

The video was great fun, it video was directed by a friend of mine, Matthew Glamour... it was crazy because took strange characters on the set, artists, sculptures.. and put me on that Pegasus made by the famous sculptor Andrew Logan... yeah it was great fun!

Was When Love Rules The World your first single ?
When Love Rules The World was not really my first single. I had my very first record deal at the age of 15 in Holland. The song was called Make’s Me Wanna Dance .. I've got not idea if one has still got that single... and it was good fun actuall... it was quite a jumpy, fun song but it was never a hit, but it was a fun to do it.

Why did you stop singing ?
I left my record label because one day I got a telephone call : “Simone you have to make a videoclip for a track called Walk on water." And I was really confused because Walk on water was a demo I made with a new producer and I really didn’t like the track... But the record label had this track remixed and released it. And first time I heard of it is when, I think it was in top 3 in some Scandinavian country... I think it was in Sweden or something …

I hated the song, I hate the hole era ! I hate it because they published without telling me and because the broke the contract without telling me I was able get out for my deal… and since then, I never really managed to find the right label again. I remember that I recorded songs better then the first ones but I didn’t find a good label to publish them..

But I still sing … :-) but now it’s just a little bit of fun…

If you had to choose between music or being a TV presenter, what would you choose ?
I think I will choose being a Tv presenter… I just think that is more I can do as a TV presenter. I like to write show proposals and stuff. I don’t know, I just feel htere is more I can do… Like I said, music is fun, I love making music … But I don't see much of a future with that. But I definitely see myself back on TV.

Simone can you tell what do you think about eurodance music ?

What I think about eurodance music… I think a lot of it, through the years, has been produced by people who weren't truly passioned about music. That's not true for everybody. There are definitely some people whom I came across as well that really did it for the love of music. But a lot of people would do it to cash in… That was the part of the whole scene that I didn't like. I just did not find as many passionate music lovers behind the scenes when I was doing the Partyzone

Do you have any favorite eurodance artists?
Phew, hard !... I still love Rozalla's Everybody's free' as an individual track (plus, she was always such a sweetheart) & I always respected and admired Captain Hollywood's stage act and professional attitude. Though he was incredibly tough on his dancers. One time he was shouting at one of his dancers for jumping through the stage and getting his leg stuck in the stage. It was the weirdest thing...the guy was dancing so hard, his whole leg crashed into the stage. His whole leg disappeared into that stage. I've never seen anything like it. We all had to pull him out ; )"

What happened after you left MTV Europe?
I did shows in Germany especially and in Holland. Popstars was really good fun… and of course I went to Belize, and that was the end of this crazy chapter.

Do you have any regrets ?? If you had the power to go back in time, what would you change ?
I sometimes regret that I Left Europe the way I did .. I did have a very nice career, a nice job, I kinda sometimes regret that I just walked away from that. But, you know, I really still believe that I can go back and do something like that again.

Many people know you from MTV PartyZone as VJ Simone. Does it bother you?
No, not at all, it was a fun time and... I think I did some good work there. There was also a lot of work I did that was quite average... No, I don't mind at all. It quite nice you think that you are part of people life’s even though you never meet them… That’s is quite a funny thought.

What is the best thing that happened in you life ?
I will say the birth of my 2 boys. I think every mother will say that... But it's not just that, I mean, that was of course great. But also the moment when I started working for MTV, or standing on stage on MTV Awards. The whole feeling around that all this, getting the crowd excited, there have be so many great moments, really.

I know that you were in the jury of German show Popstars, can you tell more about this experience ?
Popstars was amazing. That show was so much fun to do... Cause I’m really passionate about finding the right people in this industry. I think the whole music industry is not for everybody… If you get the wrong people I think you can’t destroy them. But also if you find the good people, you can make their life amazing… It was fun finding the right people, not just talentwise but also characterwise, and to put the whole band together. We put together the No Angels and it was a great band, a great act, and the whole thing was amazing...

I was aked to go back in the Popstars jury again but I turned it down, because my little boy had just been born and I didn't want to just rush back in television when I was still nursing him. So I just said no to that. But I would love to do something like that again. It's so much fun being in the jury of a show like that.

What will your next future plans be ?

Right now... I'm not sure, to be honest with you. I'm trying a whole bunch of different things. I want to do something in the media again, that's for sure. I did tourism here in Belize and that was fun, we have a really lovely business. But it's no me, you know. My life is really TV, radio, media. So, you'll see me doing something like that again. :-)

What do you hate the most ?

People who aren’t honest... I’m very honest, I can’t lie, I keep thinks quiet but I can’t lie... I guess that's what I hate the most… dishonesty.

Special Thanks to Simone Angel

Why EuroDance music is not popular anymore!?

Radio is a phenomenon and must be treated with respect. Radio is like a virus, you catch it, u can’t treat it or find a cure.
It’s feeling you can’t describe. It’s interesting how with a mic u can talk to all the people and listen to what you playing.
But i found a man infected with this virus, we talked about music, and here is the result:

EurodanceBlog: Hello! How did you start to work as a DJ at RadiOK?
John Cristea : Well , not for a long time. I’ve been speaking at this radio’s mic for only 1 year. I was born with them 

EurodanceBlog: What kind of music does Radio K romote?
John Cristea : We play only hit music from 80’s, 90’s & today’s , adult contemporary. I can say it’s the same genre Europa FM plays.

EurodanceBlog: What is your opinion about eurodance music?
John Cristea : If you want a true answer... Well I really like it, has easy to remember choruses, it is nice and it’s a music that everyone listens to.

EurodanceBlog: This genre is not anymore on top?? Tell me your personal opinion...
John Cristea: No, nowadays styles of music change overnight. Today one style is popular, and tomorrow another is... You must keep connected to all the current styles to remain on top.... if you don’t, you will be forgotten.

EurodanceBlog: On radio is played the music from top 40 ?
John Cristea: It’s not like that a song can be on top 100. If the song has no impact, we don’t play it. It’s about that.... Music is like fashion, every year it changes and brings something new ... and music is like that... if we are not interested in it, we don’t play it.

EurodanceBlog: Why do European radios promote English & American music, while American and British radios only play their artists songs ?
John Cristea: It’s a matter of egoism. They prefer their music. European music is a intruder to them, which has little chances to be heard there.

EurodanceBlog: But how comes many female vocalists such as Melanie Thornton, Helena Paparizou, Anita Doth, Petra Marklund, Alexia to name a few, girls with a potential, are still unknown however...
John Cristea: Music industry is like a market. Today you are on top, and tomorrow you are unknown. The managers are responsible for this.
Having a voice and being able to compete with other artists is not enough, if u are in top it’s ok ... if not ... you’re not promoted

EurodanceBlog: But isn’t it radio’s fault if a song is not on top, even if artists launched new material!?
John Cristea: Yes you’re right but think about it : if the song has not that special feeling what shall we do ? We might lose our listeners... we promote what is promotable, and we also play the music our listeners chose.
I will repeat myself if the song doesn’t have that feeling we won’t play it, but our listeners also have their word to say in the choice of music we are playin here.

EurodanceBlog: When can we hear you ?
John Cristea: Every weekend from 11:00 till 16:00 cet I’m here on RadiOK, talkin and playin music on a radio show called The Bank Hits!!
You Can discover him on RadiOK
Also you can visit his blog

Alexia Interview @ TG Com

You remember from dance periode with "Me and You" “Ti amo ti amo’ or “Dimmi come’’
Now is back with a new look and new style of music rock.
TGCom: What a look! New cut and blond hair on the threshold of 41 years. Typically when women cut their hair ...
Alexia: Or have been left or are depressed! (laughs, editor's note)
TGCom:But what happened?
Alexia: I had found a new desire to do after 4 years of silence also due to maternity, beautiful period of my life, felt to have a gear. I began to wrote the songs from the new album that’s why this new look.

TGCom: Have you started from the disc, you have won Sanremo with the soul and rnb and now the rock. Why?
Alexia : I want to sing things' earthly 'toughest also conceptually. Only a different music could allow me to sing what they tried, even my voice has changed: it is deeper. ". I had tried in the past to speak as I wanted, but the result was only "Egoista." With the rnb is difficult to take certain compositional fields.

TGCom: "Summer" has a nostalgic, talk with your man of feelings. How did this song?
Alexia : It 'always been a season that has brought me much luck, I usually I was always immersed in the promotion or around concerts at the expense of my private life. The summer for me has always something melancholy, I have realized when I had time to myself and in August went to sea as everyone else.

TGCom: And how you spent the summers from 'free woman'?
Alexia: I have read so much, I went often to the cinema. I traveled a lot.

TGCom: What is the journey that you gave more emotions?
Alexia: In the south of France. There is a very beautiful area where there is the cult of the Black Madonna.. During the procession comes out of the Madonna and around us there are many horses and even gypsies. There is a crazy atmosphere. I was excited and also amazed.
TGCom: In your disc is a dedication to your dad, in the song "My father."?
Alexia: I was in a beach in Liguria. At some point I sensed a strong odor. It seemed the smell of his skin rubbed with oil tanning. I have come to mind many memories that I noted in my calendar Moleskine, where I wrote all the songs of my disk.
TGCom: "A moment nell'infinito" is produced by the Mara Maionchi,.? How do you meet her?
Alexia: The song is also written by Alberto Salerno, her husband. I know Mara from a life and between us there is a very close feeling, almost like mother and daughter.

TGCom: You have a daughter, 1 years old, Maria Victoria. You've already seen that has a sense of rhythm and music like you?
Alexia: I think that has this talent because I was around to sing even pregnant (laughs, editor's note)!
TGCom: You take Maria with you on tour?
Alexia: No, I leave her at home in his environment. I believe that when they are so small that it is right to remain in a familiar and relaxing.
TGCom: How Alexia lives today?
Alexia: In the past, my ambition has brought me not to ever stop. My life has suffered. Today I have my daughter, the family closely and, as always, music.. I am a dreamer, I still feel that my small art can placate fears and anxieties.

NEJA @ TG Com

The interview was made by Andrea Conti from TG Com

Remember the dance hit "The Game" by Neja? She won a disc for summer 1999 and was in every stage of Festivalbar. Since then much time has passed and Neja’s (real name Agnes Cacciola) back to music with "Acousticlub", revisiting the sound of a hit 80 years and 90.
Why today is no longer “bother’ us with your songs?
Then I was in search of artistic quality. Now I’m very happy the success of Giusy." Said Neja
What happened from that distant 1999?
Neja : Many things. Moments of ups and downs, artistic choices that I have formed ...
Do u have great memories of the success of The game ?
Neja :The summer of'99 was a success for me.. These are important things happened abroad tour in Japan and I lived a certain type of musical reality. It was an important moment for my life. That song has been a qualitative leap that has not happened then.
Then your record company was universal?
Neja :Exactly
What they want from you?
Neja :They wanted to do the jump from music dance to pop music. But it was absolutely the right time. Now I am game 'chewing' jazz and soul music and dance was a lucky 'accident path'.

There is some mistake that you committed in'99 and today u regret?
Neja :Believing in the wrong people. But they are fatalistic if things went well is because today I had to take a different path.

This year the Festivalbar has not aired in recent years and is struggling to find a true hit . Why?
Neja : The dance in 90 years was taken into account, although lately I have to say is a little 'back in fashion radio. But I think that in general is returning the desire in people to sing the melody of a songs.

And what do you think the success of Giusy Ferreri, from the first five weeks in the charts of albums?
Neja :I like and I am very happy for her. I think that his song, "Non ti scordar di me ever," is absolutely good song and refined.

Its song can be considered a hit?
Neja :I think that his' case 'is the result of research quality. It can be a good sign for all artists. And I also believe that X Factor, unlike programs such as Friends or Operation Triumph, has given un'acceleration to this trend.
There is a council that want to give to the artists around the world?
Neja :Do not be easy to push the success and prepare a lot, studying .. All are able to sing but lack the basics.
Returning to the new Neja, "Acousticlub" is your third disc that was self. An ambitious goal ...
Neja : I reinterpreted in a sound the successes of famous artists. It was not easy. The comparison scares anyone, but it was one thing that I had to myself.

From the sexy version of a refined elegant dance in "Acousticlub." Choice wanted?
Neja : Absolutely yes. With my stylist, we thought that the figure of a girl who remember the pin-up, the girls from Coca Cola in ‘50s could be well to this new recording project. The new look is certainly a detachment from my past dance, it is clear not innocent.
When was the new album?
Neja : Three years ago. But the path to achieve it was very long and has only materialized in recent months.
Is there any song that you have not been able to enter?
Neja : Many from Depeche Mode to Duran Duran (I was crazy in love, guitarist Andy Taylor) but also Ciny Lauper and Madonna. Who knows maybe find space in a hypothetical "Acousticlub 2." Among the Italians would have liked to redo "The cure" Battiato.. But for now I'm thinking of a new album.
In English?
Neja : Yes.
Have you ever sung in English?
Neja : Never. I have always heard black music and it is obvious that if sing in Italian also change my vocal style.

What can aspect from the disk unpublished?
Neja : I wrote about fifty songs. I suffer when in love are particularly inspired and compose a lot ...
Now you're in love?
Neja : Yes, I'm happy and in fact write little (laughs, editor's note).

Sabrina Salerno @ TGCOM

Sabrina: "We carry over the years 80"
New disc for the queen of dance
It 'been an icon of the 80s: physical burst and a series of hit tunes where the bridge was coupled with an explicit sensuality. Now, after nine years of silence, Sabrina Salerno back with a double album, "Erase Rewind Official remix." "It was a disk that had all the people that I have followed and loved - a Sabrina says It’s'also a revenge : after having been listed for years, as a phenomenon are still here ...".

With music and television personalities that creates lasting space of a season, is feeling alive and regain the music industry after of two decades of an artist that criticism was fiercely usual brand as a product of plastic and passenger. Instead Sabrina returns after years of theater, cinema and concerts iperaffollati. In France every weekend with the "RFM Party 80" draws 7000 people in the halls and on May 17 last year was dancing 48mila fans at the Stade de France in Paris.

TG COM : With such a success we can say that your return to the song is a furor of the people ...
Sabrina : First an act of love against all those who have followed. One thing that absolutely had to do.
TG COM : An double album. Why?
Sabrina: The CD includes the most significant dance songs from my past, that was a new look while not upsetting not to remove too much from the versions that people knows me. On the disc there are new songs, more pop-rock, which I represent perfectly and who were born over the years. My husband has a room incision room which have passed some of the greatest musicians of the world in which every time I asked to play a piece.

TG COM : You have already planned a special promotion?
Sabrina : First Friday October 3, at the time of removal of the CD, I will be in Milan to Mondadori course Vittorio Emanuele II (Milan) 18 to meet fans and autographed albums. Then the rest are still in negotiations, I can not say anything.

TG COM : Twenty years ago you presented with a very sexy image . Now, will be that Sabrina we expect?
Sabrina : Well ... the miniskirts I may yet! Since the image also has his part . I still look unscrupulous although today has a value other twenty years ago. Now on TV strips anyone, even those who can not afford it.

TG COM : Six returned from a radio program with Sandy Marton, Spencer Tracy and Den Harrow, all icons of those years. What was so special in the 80s?

Sabrina : They were particularly colorful. We were kitch, party and probably had the unbearable lightness of cattail who see things differently. Since 1990, with the Gulf War has changed everything, even music. The refrain of the 80s, as easy and light that were still remember them today. In the following decade in the house and dance tunes were tightened and succeeded TUNZE-TUNZE that he has done magic to lose everything.
TG COM : Yet the criticism then there were ...

Sabrina :
If people did entertain people then, after two decades crowd concerts to relive those feelings. A good book is a good book. Very often, especially if you sell a lot, that same book is very critisised. So is the music and what revolves around.

TG COM : You talked about the fan following you for years. With the Internet you've got to have an even closer relationship with them?

Sabrina : Some of these fans know from when I was eighteen. Some came from Spain, the Netherlands, Germany. I have followed all these years, were thousands of miles just to come to see theater. Now with Myspace the ratio is almost continuously and I have verified to have a hard core of fans: 250mila contacts are not by all.

TG COM : But with the criticism goes like today?
Sabrina : I have always been listed as a passenger phenomenon. In some respects she could be true, but if you return after nine years on the thrust of requests from the public and my disc is distributed worldwide, it means that I was not really a meteor Critics' meeting today that I filled with compliments. I do not know if I make them privately as a matter of gallantry, but these are the same as two decades ago, when I was ranking first in the world, I say to all colors.

TG COM : Your personal revenge ...
Sabrina : I think I have done in my life uncomfortable choices. From theater to reject the television. In particular I have always said no to reality.. Choices made by the head and heart.. Forty years I embark on a project unless we think and feel. Maintain the reputation going to do the opinion in a reality does not care if I have something to say, a disc to be presented well, otherwise it is required.

Interview made by Massimo Longoni
English translation EurodanceBlog

Talking with LayZee

Am stat de vb cu Layzee(ex.Mr.P)si in interviul de mai jos aflati toate detaliile picante despre industria muzicala si nu numai..
Sper sa va placa in zilele urmatoare il voi traduce si in romana.;-)

Tavi: How did u start your music career?

Layzee: My music career started as a dancer in Birmingham, England about 100 years ago:-). No it must of been about 17 years ago. My brother and myself made a small dance company with 6 dancers and 25 students. That's basically where we started money with with music. But I'ved loved music every since I can remember.

Tavi: What can u tell me about Fresh and Fly project?

Layzee: The Fresh and Fly project was my Brother Mousse T. and myself we wrote and produced our own tracks and had our first release in the early 90's as dance started to make it's way to Europe. Our first single was called 'Don't Stop' but although it wasn't a hit it sold a good number. The second single 'African Rhythm' did very in the clubs. But that's were it all stopped.

Tavi: How did u start to work with Mr.P!?

Layzee: My working with Mr.P came about simply as I was working as a dj. I was about a year into being a dj and though myself a lot of DJ trick which I couldn't really use in the club I worked so I entered and DJ competition where the DJ of the club the competition was held was Kai the producer and the light DJ was a guy called Jens. Who I actually got with quite well at the time. After I got the first place at the competition rapping, mixing and scratching all at the same time. I had an offer to come to there studio to work on some demos. After that didn't hear from them for some time until one day I got a call asking I could step into the group for a few weeks while they find another rapper.

Tavi: I know that you are composer too, who was the artists that u wrote??

Layzee: I've been writing for Massive Tunes, 3-Dee, Mr. President, Java, and for a new boys band that are about break out with one of my songs. Can't say any name right. I don't just write and compose but I also produce and remix.

Tavi: This Question I want to put to make clear the idea , will be a Mr.P comeback!?

Layzee: The reason for the split of Mr.P was because mismanagement and too many changing faces. Therefore It's just a matter of taste as I see how many people ask for the Girls when I'm on tour. Basically none as it was all about the music.
There will be no Mr.President comeback unless I change my mind. But on the whole "NO MR. PRESIDENT comeback". I will be working with T-Seven on one or two projects but that's as close as it will get to a reunion.

Tavi: Tell me about your project?

Layzee: My project is all about the music and getting myself back out there to my other artist a chance. I have two artists I'm working and it's very difficult to get a new artist a break until they have a hit single. So I take them with on stage or work with them in the studio. My project follows the same style of Mr. P for obvious reasons. That's what people expect from me so that's what they get the old style with a new sound. There's more to come so I won't say too much right now. Just that I am getting a lot of requests and have a lot of dates confirmed. So see you all soon.

Tavi: I know you release on itunes your first single Yourlove?

Layzee: Ah yes! I release my first single 'Your Love' World Wide on Itunes and a few other on-line stores. With the next single 'Catch Me' there will be a few more stores to choose. But the important part is there released on my own label Diezel Records.

Tavi: What will be your future plans ?

Layzee: Well I think I've answer that already but basically to release another single and to be on tour this summer.

Tavi: What do u think about eurodance music? do u think is not popular anymore?

Layzee: Really! Eurodance is coming back which means it be out for some time. Which therefore tells me and everyone else that Eurodance is not popular anymore. But is on it's way again.

Tavi: What do u think about now of show bizz?

Layzee: Show bizz is just what it says. Everything about it is not real because it's show. But it's also a business so which means you have to be careful if you have no idea about this business and start believing it you will get sucked in and spat out. It's harder but it has not changed.

Tavi: What will be your next single?

Layzee: Next single will be 'Catch Me'

Tavi: I know that u are involved in a charity project can u tell me more about this project?

Layzee: I work with cancer kids and children that don't have a chance of a future because there is on money at home. I also work with a school project against bullying in schools

Dhany: Me and Sandy are close friends since a long time… I used to write a lot of songs for her such as “Get better” and “Illusion”… we performed together in live and that was great so we thought it could be a good idea to make it also on a record and luckily the record company agreed. That’s how “Break the wall” was born.
Ally: Do u plan featurings with other artists in the feature?
Dhany: Not for the moment because I’m working in exclusivity with Benassi Bros.
I will appear as a guest on the album of an Italian ensemble called Kikkombo, that’s going to be released soon in Italy.
Ally: Can u name one artist that you like?
Dhany: The best artist in the world and, of course, my favorite one is Madonna.

Ally: When can we see a new Dhany video?
Dhany: We have no video planned for the moment… but I really love making videos so I hope we will shot a new video soon… it is very important for the success of a song.
Ally: What song would you choose for the video?
Dhany: “U & I” could be a good one. It’s very emotional and it talks about a true story, so I think it would be really easy to create a video on it.
Ally: Who is the artist that influenced your music stile?
Dhany: A lot of artists did that. The great r’n’b singers like Chaka Khan, Mary J. Blige and Mariah Carey… and all the great producers and songwriters like Stevie Wonder and Quincy Jones.
Ally: Can you recall that one moment that made you feel on top of the world?
Dhany: When I got my first Gold Album for Phobia and my fans were there to greet me! That was magic!

Multumiri pt acest interviu Dhanielei & Allei

Toco International NEWS!

BENNY BENASSI was born in Milan on 13 July 1967 under the sign of Cancer. He is 35 but claims to look 25. He lives in Reggio Emilia, a fine Italian town about 100km south of Milan, where the food is great and the Dance Music is even better. He works as a producer in collaboration with his cousin Alle Benassi, who has been a musician and arranger at Off Limits. After KMC feat Dhany, "Satisfaction", Benassi Bros, remix-projects, Benny Benassi presents The Biz, the album Phobia and lots, lots of other things it's time again for a new single: "I Am Not Drunk", the typical Benny Benassi sound but also surprisingly different, modern, catching, strong.

Verona is a pretty singer from the Czech Republic, where her first single "You Gotta Move On" was already a big hit. This summer Verona is back to "Stay With Me".

Bart Claessen is a man with two carreers. In 2001 he started under the name "Barthezz", and he started pretty well with his hit "On The Move" reaching top 10. Also "Infected" reached top 30 in the UK-charts.

In 2007 he returned, this time under his real name Bart Claessen. The singles "Persona Non Grata", "Playmo" and "When Morning Comes" got very good feedback on the dancefloor but didn't make it into the charts. Much better did his last single "First Light", it reached #1 (Dutch Fresh40 DJ chart - 2008/4) in Holland and was already in the charts in Sweden and Finland. Also the track is played in the setlist of people like Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren and Tisto.

Roy Gates At the start of his successful career as a DJ/producer, Roy Gates immediately had a Dancesmash on Radio 538. This debut single "How Deep" instantly had a high score on the hit lists and was on the play lists of many radio and tv/stations for weeks. After the hitsingles: "On my Way", "We Rock Together" and "Lose myself" it rapidly became obvious that his musical development was unstoppable. Besides many performances in his homeland and abroad, Roy spent many hours in the studios where he worked on many new productions. This all resulted in the single "Midnight Sun", which is the ultimate mix between Club Trance and Electro. Armin van Buuren already played the Divini & Warning Mix in his "A State of Trance" and Randy Katana, Ron van den Beuken and DJ Jean also do support the track. "Midnight Sun" is also Slam!FM playlisted, so the record couldn't have had a better start. Already DJ Jean refers to Roy as "The New Tiesto"!

This summer Roy is filling the dance-floors again with his latest single "The World Is Spinning".

Matt Pincer From an early age Matt Pincer had a love for music. He collected all kinds of music on cd and vinyl, from rock to dance. In the 90s electronic dance music became his real love, especially trance music. Influenced by people like Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, Rank 1 and DuMonde he wanted to make this kind of music music too.

So in the Summer of 2003 he started producing, and his first track Wave Of Emotion almost immediately got the attention of Swiss DJ Dave 202, who had this track in his personal top 10 on his website. This inspired Matt Pincer to go on and in the years to come he produced several tracks and remixes. He didn't send many tracks to music labels, because first he wanted to improve his producing skills.

In 2004 he got a weekly show Sonic Fantasy on Spiderpower Webradio where he played 2 hours of the best in trance. In this show he played some of his own productions once in a while and got massive positive feedback to his productions. In 2005 and 2006 he also did several podcasts for EDMCast, a website with podcasts including only unsigned music. The Matt Pincer podcasts were very popular, unfortunately the website stopped in 2007 with this very unique concept.

In 2007 Matt produced some of his best tracks and remixes and labels started to show interest in his tracks. He did 2 remixes for Lisaya VS Petersen - Embracing Sunlight, and especially the Matt Pincer Seashore Remix got very positive feedback and was added to the remix package which is available as digital download on all major musicdownload shops. His remix also was supposed to be on the compilation Trance Club, mixed by Torsten Stenzel, but something went wrong so the track didn't make it to the cd. But all music shops still have the remix listed in the tracklist, Cd 1 , track 12.

2008 was the year where more Matt Pincer releases saw the light. First of all there was "Memories" on Dutch label Made2Dance. The track got very positive feedback and was played by various DJs. Right after that the Matt Pincer remix for DJ Jerom and Michael de Kooker's "Body Combat" on Dutch label Bitter Sweet was a huge success with plays by famous DJs like Michael Splint and Dave Pearce on BBC1 and very positive reviews (see: Crystal Clouds review). More tracks followed, like "Rebirth" on Made2Dance and "Train To Nowhere" on Bitter Sweet under his Soyana Project alias.

Dj Jurgen grew up in Delft, where he started to experiment with music and became a radio jock on CITY radio The Hague. In 1985 he became a regular dj at a dutch public radio station, wich gave him his credits in the radio industry.

By the end of the 80ties he became by accident in contact with house music, and got drawn to the music. From there on he became a regular dj known in the amsterdam scene and all around. Amongst places like the HOUR POWER(escape) and ASTA (The Hague).

Around 1994/95 he started to get into producing, and his first release SHAKRA'S FEELINGS was a regular on many compilation cd's. then in 1998 he made the big score with his number 1 record BETTER OF ALONE. This made him a well known dj all over the world. Television performances and travelling throughout countries like JAPAN, HAWAII, DUBAI, SOUTH AFRICA, USA, and many more...

For now JURGEN is busy to put his mind more on producing, but he still moves on to get people in a trance with his vibes

Remini project Sarah K. alias Ester Olaide Ajewole was born in Paris in May 1979. In 1988 the whole family moved to West Africa. This change was not easy for Sarah and she decided to write down all her fears, thoughts and visions as poetry, which became a permanent ingredient in her life. She participated in song contests and in 1999 won a competition in a club in Rimini. Scandinavia, alias Anna Louise Molander, was born in 1974 in Hudiksvall in the north of Sweden. Her mother was a singing teacher and played the piano and she encouraged all her children to sing and play. Once she replaced a friend in a Swedish music groupand from that moment she could no longer resist the lure of the stage. It was natural for her to do the choreography. Maybe it was some whim of fate but Scandinavia was in the jury in Rimini. Sammy B, alias Samuel Oladipo Ajewole was born in Paris in December 1997 and yes, he is the older brother of Sara K. His parents thought that with his deep voice he could never become a singer. But singing and dancing still was his biggest hobby. He worked as a dressman all over europe and one day followed his sister Sarah K to a contest in Rimini.
