Christina Undhjem - It´s not very often i get "goosebumps" from an new artist theese days!

First i want to know how did you start your music career ?

Hehehe.....well profesionaly in Denmark with my band YOUKNOWWHO in 1995! But before that i went to different music schools: folkehøgskule and viken folkehøgskule in Norway and Vig Rytmiske Musikkhøjskule from Danemark.

I also came from a very musical family. They tought me alot!Specially my brother Eivind Løberg(composer and former childstar in Norway)

So you came from a family of musicians... that explains the mark from your music...

Who came with YouknowWho name ?

I can't remember who came up with the band name.....but i do remember that we wrote a song called "YouKnowWho" but it never got released!

Who wrote the songs from Youknowwho material ?

Me, Martin Larsson and Lars Jensen wrote the tracks on the YouKnowWho album!And was produced in Lemon Studio Stockholm/Sweden by Chairon/Max Martin and Dennis Pop.

Do you still keep in touch with your colleagues ?

I don't really have contact with the guys anymore!They´re in  US now. We took different roads...but who knows what the future brings!:)

One of my favorites songs from you are: "Fly with me"(Yamino), "Dreams"(Dj Aligator) and "Underneath My Skin"... Those songs have a story if they do what are  ?

Hmmm hard 'cause i don't remember Fly with me about Dj Aligator - "Dreams" - Ali want me to sing that song thought it would fit my voice it is so long time ago, I can't remember if i co-wrote it. "Underneath my skin" it's song i like too because i could relate to the lyrics but i do not write!. I don't know if those song have a story... BUT i´m glad you like them!

What inspires you when you write songs ?

What inspires me to write?! ..Well... from life cause every experience has a story.....so i write about what i go trough in life. But i also get inspired by the norwegian nature!!!!I find it easy to write when i miss something or someone! I am very sensitive and melancolic :)

For which artists did you wrote? Why did you stop doing dance music ?

I never loved to sing dance music, but sometimes you have to compromise when you´re in a band!

I am into slow music because i'm a melancolic girl..

But do love to write dance music for other artists!!!! But not for myself to release!

I have written for Danish artists,sweedish,german,asian,nowegian,UK,US what i can think of right now! The biggest cut i have had is Jeniffer Rush´s new album "Now Is The Hour"!!!!

Christina you are the hole package - artist with beauty, talent and you wrote amazing lyrics if a big producer whats to make you bigger would you accept it ? Or do you think that commercial music is not what you want to do ?

I love comercial music,but it must be great project!!!!!!And it has to be me in it!! :)

What do you think about music market now ?

Well the music market now is not what it used to be! I miss the old days! ... There will never be a new Whitney, Michael, Pavarotti to name a few!!!And i think it's easy too to become an artist theese days.....cuz you don't have to be a good singer just good looking!!

Do did you always dreamed to be a singer ?

Yes,and i will always sing till my last days!! :)

In the future whit whom do you like to work with ?

I would love to work with Rolf Løvland,Gino Vannelli(have worked with him before)and David Foster!!!

Tell me about your new song "One Last Time" what is the story behind ?

The story behind my new song?! I think once in life we all had an bad experience with - broken heart! "One Last Time" - is my story!

What are your future projects

My future projects ... hmmm is to write more songs for me and for other artits!

I hope that one day to get signed with some serious label, who wants the best for me and my music....doers not talkers and i will like to do music movie!!! That is one of my biggest dream.....to make music for movies!!!

Cold by BLITZKIDS mvt.

The german project formed by Klaus Nomi, Petone, Ari, Bao, Pit-TEK and PONX with headquarter situated in Berlin.

BLITZKIDS mvt. was created as a tribute to german opera singer - Klaus Nomi who also is involved in this project. The singer also carries the name "Nomi" with avant-garde look exactly like a character from The Wizard of Oz.

I think that is the point to come out with something new on the market but also with - a good quality - you can take as example the food from restaurant and from fastfood...,an and BLITZKIDS mvt. can be compared with food from avant garde - resturant, and theri music is not adressed to all people just to some ones who loves avant-garde music... and BLITZKIDS mvt. are and avant garde band from Planet Nomi.

Their debut single was released 2011 and was called " Blinded" and i was blinded in did by the singer's look .. ,and now in 2012 comes with a new master piece called "Cold" written by Petone and Pit-TEK

BLITZKIDS mvt. is something new on the market ....but, has only one bad thing is not adressed to all people.. ;-)

The angelic voice is back

The angelic voice is coming with a new single. Christina Undhjem lead singer of YouKnowWho released a new masterpiece called "One Last Time", a tune wrote by her in the same style: slow pop, and can be found on itunes.dk.

Christina is a Norwegian singer and songwriter born in Røros but currently resides in Bergen, and has lived in Denmark for 13 years. In 1995 she was one of the finalists in the Norwegian talent contest Looking against the stars (known as Stars in Their Eyes in Britain) where she imitated Whitney Houston. The following year she participated in the international final European Soundmix Show in Holland, where she came in a tie for second place.

After emigrating to Denmark in 1995 she went on the Rhythmic School in Bay, where she met Lars H. Jensen and Martin M. Larsson. The three formed the pop band You Know Who, where Undhjem was lead singer and signed to Universal. Group selvbetitlede debut album from 1997 sold 48,000 copies in Denmark, and hittede with singles like "Good & Evil" and "Guantanamera." from Christina website


It's a complete artist when i say that it's not like saying big words i watched her career and what she did till now amaze me... first of all is a good songwriter(not yet discovered by the hunters of hits) with angelic voice and the last and not least she love-music. She doesn't like to be compared with others ... cause is not like others .. for Christina music is much more: emotion, love & passion... and with a great management team can be "bigger then bigger" but she choose being just - Christina Undhjem (YouKnowWho lead singer)

She also contribuite at Yamino single "Fly with me" and Dj Aligator's smash hit "Dreams". Right now the singer/songwriter is working at her new material that will be released soon..

Violeta - THE BIZ - "I have great roots in my blood because i'm romanian"

She was born in Bucharest/Romania, and in 1990 she left the country to fallow a modeling career in Milan Italy a country that soon adopted her and give the opportunity to make a dream come true... Violeta is her name and was one of female vocalists of Benassi Bros Feat The Biz project that has consecrated her after the evergreen Satisfaction, "Rumenian", "I love my 6x"

So my next interview was made with her i hope you like it like i did....

How did you start to work with Benny Benassi ?

I started in 2002 when i went to Reggio Emilia at Off Limits Production for cast and there i meet Benny / and Alle Benassi .. and they said that i was perfect girl for their new project .

Who wrote the Satisfaction ? You believe that this tune has an potential to be a hit ?

Well, Satisfaction was written by Alle and Benny ... well we all believed in that ... it was somethin new for the market at that time .... and was great intuition...

One of Pumphonia material that kept my attention, not only mine, but all from Romania was Rumenian what can you tell me about track!?

When i heard the song for the 1st time i was electrified by that sound and i said this is it - my song i must put my "own touch", and immediately i propost to Larry Pignagnoli , Benny and Alle , if they agree to transform that tune with own  romanian words... and they were so happy and let me try it ....and soon become a hit all over Europe... and i was so happy.... because the lyrics were part of my old poetry that i wrote long time ago in Romania ...

The song was released as a single ? Does it have a video ?

Yes .. it was released as a single like I love my sex , Rumenian, all were in Pumphonia album togehter with onther single from other artist that we colaborate that time...

Unfortunatley not, at that time we all were in tour so ... honestley we had no time to do a video so we release only the single without video promotion.

How often you came to Romania ?

Well when i was on tour with the Biz i think i visit 5/6 times .. as a tourist and to visit my family. And after that maybe one time in the year.... except now in last 3 years i didn' t... came , but i have in plan to came back soon....

Do you cook !? You have favorite romanian dish ?

Noo i'm not soo good with cooking :), And i do love ,the famous: "mici & sarmale" .I love italian cousine, japanese and romanian off course...:)

I know that you were a model too, is true that the models don't eat when they have a presentation or a shooting !?

Yes is true, we eat maybe a fruct only /or a piece of fish (my case ) before the photoshoot or presentation... but i have great roots in my blood because i'm romanian:), so i was lucky with my body because i don't get fat so easy .... ;-) So i can eat pasta anytime :-))

If you have to choose between being a model and a singer what will be ?

Woow ! is a though question and so hard to choose.... is nice beeing a model ... but the music i think is more... gives me more chills, energy and fun ... so i will go with music ... and makes me feel more alive ...and i love to dance ...for me is like theraphy :)

How come a beatiful romanian girl didn't resist of italian charms.. !? 'Cause italians are known for that ...

Well i didn't .. cause my ex husband was an italian and italians are cool guys and nice but now i meet a nice guy and is not italian.. and believe me is so cool :)

Do you have a funny story that happen with a fan, and you want to share with us ?

Well i have a lot of funny story . when i was on my tour with Paolo ... but i should select one ... for example in Russia: a girl came to me and tried to kiss me after the concert when i sung "I love my sex"... she thought i was gay.... that was so funny ....:)

Let's get back to Italy and Benny Benassi project, why did you left this project!? Do you still keep the contact with your colleague Paolo or the girls from Benassi Bros. ?

Well i left the project because i moved to USA. Yes .. i'm still in touch with Paolo, Benny, Alle and the girls but as you can imagine everyone of us we have our won projects so we are not so close like before ... we do have a friendly relation .

Now you moved to US ..is it true that americans are more cold then europeans people?

Depends of what kind point .. i don't think are more cold , but here is different system so the people put priority of business first so ... maybe that make a difference.. they live their live if i can say that, as an european we are more "slow" if i can tell that we like to live well and work less .... so we have more time to spend with our family in general... honestley i love both because America is my home now .. Europe is old fashion .. here is all fool of energy / i mean in New York i' m in love with NYC ... but i don't hide that part : I miss Europe tooo...

I know that you made a new track what can you tell me about that track and when will be released worldwide ? "Emotional" is called right ?

Yes. It  was released already with Avioground Record Label Milano and can be found on Beaport.It was recorded in Los Angeles in Burbank ...soon will be fallowed by "Move your body" by the same label .. but now we work also at a new project ..and i will open my label record so .... soon will be news from Violeta

Do you have a motto that you always fallow ?

“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.”

What genre of music you listen ..were you into eurodance music !? if you were what was your favorite artist or project !?

I love all kind of music i love David Guetta, Madonna but also i like Akon , Snoop Dog so i love music and different artists...

What do you think about romanian music nowdays ?

I think romanian artists have a lot of creativity and potential to become best in this business.. a lot hits come from romanians .. and i' m happy for that just look at the last years ... at "Mr. Saxobeat" & Hot" so go guys go "you are on the right track"...

In the future you like to do a collaboration with a romanian artist if you do with whom ?

Off course i will love to do and i think about ...maybe new artists ... there is a lot of talented artists that they need to be pushed ...cause i'm sure that are a lot of talent there and they are not yet up ....!! the biggers is all ready biggers .. Let's give an opportunity to the new wave of young artists...
